 It is always difficult to determine the exact number of slices / serves you might be able to gain from a single cake.  Everyone cuts their cakes differently to the next person and some prefer larger portions of cake than others. 


This is a rough guide to the amount of serves you might receive from the following sized cakes.  I have put them in Inches & CM to make it easier for you to understand...

Collection is preferred for all other cakes.

CAKE INGREDIENTS...

Madeira Cake

Butter, Caster Sugar, Vanilla Essence, Eggs, Plain Flour, Self-raising Flour, Baking Powder, Milk.

 

Carrot Cake

Self-raising Flour, Plain Flour, Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Bicarbonate of Soda, Vegetable Oil, Brown Sugar, Eggs, Golden Syrup, Grated Carrot.

NB. This cake can have an optional extra of Pecan or Walnuts, but can be left out if required.

 

Coconut Cake

Butter, Caster Sugar, Coconut Essence, Eggs, Desiccated Coconut, Self-raising Flour, Baking Powder, Buttermilk.

 

Chocolate Cake

Butter, Caster Sugar, Vanilla Essence, Eggs, Self-raising Flour, Plain Flour, Bicarbonate of Soda, Cocoa Powder, Buttermilk.

 

Chocolate Mud Cake

Butter, Dark Chocolate, Hot Chocolate, Water, Self-raising Flour, Plain Flour, Cocoa Powder, Bicarbonate of Soda, Caster Sugar, Eggs, Vegetable Oil, Buttermilk.


Rich Fruit Cake

Currants, Sultanas, Raisins, Glace Cherries, Mixed Peel, Flaked Almonds, Lemon Zest, Plain Flour, Mixed Spice, Cinnamon, Butter, Brown Sugar, Eggs, Brandy.
